The Weekend Away reviewed by Mark Kermode
A perfect movie for a great actor to retire.
I didn't like the film very much. I liked Robbie's review of it.
Here we go again A review for the ages
That was not the original SUN Records and just about everyone who saw him perform knew who he was. Not Elvis, not even close.
it was great to see Arnold in a normal role, great take on the zombie craze
!
Nice ASMR with the kisses and the breathing and the water sounds. Captivating.
Mark Comode.
Self-proclaimed movie critics, really don't know much. It's only his opinion and do not buy into it. It's a great movie
Seeing this movie with a packed theater was a great experience
Beautifully articulated discussion and review of a brilliant film.
Worst film ever.
It sounds........off not like the tv opener.
This took 100 million more than paddington
All 3 of the movies are brilliant. Batman showed us how he started and got all his toys, the The Dark Night with Heath Ledger was amazing. And the Dark Night Rises is just the perfect ending. My favourite trilogy for sure.👍
Brilliant movie, so many great scenes. Benico Del Toro and Emily Blunts interactions are so tense. Its like he knows she is well out her depth and wants to protect her in a way. 👍
I adore the Mamma Mia movies!
“Corpulent filthy lucre” one for the notebook
I watched 30min and gave up. Maybe laughed once. Much prefer Borat.
It's a wonderfully terrifying film .
These guys are excellent. I remember Kermode's analysis of The Exorcist when it was re-released: broad-minded, very intelligent, and uncynical and unsceptical about the film's religious-faith values. Talk about an open mind. Charlie Higson reviewed it on TV at the same time: he might as well have just seen Frozen for all it meant to him. How could he not have been moved and then questioned his atheism?❤❤
This movie is fan intercoursing tastic
It's a stupid film.
Boom!!
This movie is garbage!
Has its moments (the opening scene is pretty harrowing), but inferior to the first chapter. Far too much CGI, looks fake and therefore kills the scares.
The Deer Hunter is possibly the most self-indulgent film I've ever seen. It was clear even then that Michael Cimino enjoyed sniffing his own farts, but he was able to cloak it in the hot topic of the Vietnam War, which made his farts more palatable for everyone else. But Heaven's Gate really pulled the wool out from under your eyes, the guy was just insufferable.
Like a tongue tongue, in my eardrum, dum dum, music boyfriend I'm your yum yum! Actually written by Emily Skaggs that plays Patty.
Its a great song
the production design is astounding
It's excellent. The only odd part is the poor grammar. A family of 20th century elitists would know the difference between subject and object pronouns. I think the writer needed a better editor.
I come to this review from time to time, hoping more people watched this film. I genuinely think this film should be shown to aliens that haven't decided wheter or not this lonely rock of a planet deserves to be saved.
It really made my appreciate simple slow life rhythm, not worring about things are not happining in the moment, as it's the oldest way to have a meaningful life, it is the way of all times I think. It is different and beautiful.
One of the best films I have ever seen! Incredible performances and such a great plot.
This old guy doesn't get it.
I got huge autistic vibes from him, makes sense that he had a breakdown, but the movie was like two autistic people just living 🤷
I worked on the truck scenes VFX wise (yes, uncannily they were not real....) and all I thought was I was doing shots including that guy out of Manhunter (netflix show). much fun.
Beautiful set props and theme, story was a bit non existent. Characters and plot absent.
I can't comment, irony, because of Mark Ive never seen this movie 👍
The hospital scene with Red and Jason was so unexpectedly deep and tender.
I love Tom Burke in everything he plays. But here, he gives me the creeps as a user and a criminal narcissist.
I disagree, this is so much better than so much of what Hollywood releases, odd is not a word I wouldn't use, melodrama? Really, Emily blunt had moved away
Ice Age 1: fantastic Ice Age 2: decent Ice Age 3: decent Ice Age 4: bad Ice Age 5: painful
Even though he's made many great films, I would argue that "Jaws" is Spielberg's magnum opus.
The first 2/3rds of Nocturnal Animals is absolutely captivating. You cannot turn away. I think the last third, whilst remaining interesting and strong on the symbolism is a little thin. I wonder if anyone else feels this way?
Young cast especially fassbender and mcavoy were astonishing
Possibly the best xmen film in my books
How articulate. I love this movie completely. This review is spot on and entices me to watch again again..
The scene where a character is explaining the bomb will go off after some time and JGL chimes in with the line "tHiS bOmB iS a TiMe BoMb" implies that Nolan does NOT think his audience is smart as he is.
This movie has the scariest bad guys I can ever remember seeing in a movie. Terrifying.
"Yomping." What a great word!
